LEARN Resource Center currently has openings for the following:
- Part-time Summer Program Instructor (Seasonal)
Individuals selected for this position will be under the direct supervision of the Summer Program Director and will be responsible for providing an appropriate, safe, caring and enriching environment for children enrolled in the Summer LEARN program. A Summer Program Instructor is responsible for 1) supervising participants, 2) actively leading group activities, and 3) engaging in activities with participants. Summer Program Instructors are responsible for conducting themselves in an appropriate manner, setting an example for children, parents and co-workers by reflecting the LEARN Resource Center’s core values of leadership, education, accessibility, respect and nurture. Summer Program Instructors are responsible for complying with the Indiana Standards and assist in ensuring that staff adheres to all LEARN Resource Center Policies and Procedures.
Open Morning Positions:
These positions are responsible for leading small groups of children in academic supportive curriculum.

Open Afternoon Positions:
Afternoon activities evolve around a weekly theme. Program Instructors supervise participants and lead a wide
variety of enrichment and recreational activities. Afternoon activities also includes field trips.
Lead Program Instructor (Assumes responsibilities in the Program Director's absence)
Must be 18 years old
Must have reliable transportation
Previous experience working with elementary age children beneficial
Must have clean criminal history
- Part-time Summer Food Service Program Manager
The Summer Food Service Program Kitchen Manager is responsible for the management & preparation of meals for the agency’s summer nutrition program through the Indiana Department of Health’s Summer Food Service Program.
GENERAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Prep and produce meals meeting the goals and expectations of the Summer Food Service Program.
Determine amount of food items and supplies needed and ensure order is submitted in a timely manner. Kitchen Manager or the agency’s administrative staff are authorized to order food.
Ensure meals are prepped and ready to be delivered are ready by 11 AM.
Identify and communicate prep and program meal requirement needs when there is a kitchen assistant
Work within the program food budget and minimize food waste.
When producing child & youth meals, adhere to menus as planned in advance, copied, posted and available for parents and program participants.
Serve meals and ensure clean up after meals.
Help maintain dry storage and refrigeration areas in a clean and organized fashion.
Help maintain kitchen equipment and cleanliness.
Adhere to all safety, nutrition, food handling, personal hygiene and sanitation requirements of the Allen County Board of Health.
